At the Shiv Mandir, 5824 Second Avenue, Niagara Falls

Mark your calendars for Friday December 16 at 6:30 PM as we celebrate Karthigai Deepam, dedicated to the veneration of Bhagwan Kartikeya ji. The event is sponsored by the devotees of Kartikeyaji.

Karthigai Deepam is known as the Festival of Lights in the southern part of India and is an extension of Deepawali. It is celebrated to herald all that is good and wholesome and keep away from us from all that is bad and unholy.

Puja and abhishekham will be performed by Pandit Satish Sivam of the Siva temple, Missisaauga. Pandit Sivam is well versed in Vedam, Shaivagamam, Sanskrit, ShaivaSiddhantham and Thirumurai. Pandit Bipin Vyas will also be present to assist. This special satsang will culminate with Karthikeya aarti followed by a wonderful preetibhoj lovingly prepared by the dedicated group of Kartikeya devotees. Everyone is welcome!

We are grateful that several members of the Samaj community supported us with post-dated cheques in 2015. Please keep up the support in 2016. If you did not participate in 2015, please do so now! Your donations help us to provide numerous badly needed services to the community.

All your contributions are welcome- every little bit counts! If everyone in the Samaj community made regular monthly contributions, our debt load would have been a thing of the past! So please step up and furnish us with your monthly post-dated cheques for any amount that you feel you can contribute on a recurring basis. The Samaj and the Shiv Mandir need your help- please open up your hearts and purse-strings!
